Purely reviewing for the fish and chips.
I really liked their fish! I liked it more than Turf Tavern's.
I liked the atmosphere and their chips were nice (nothing outstanding).

I was taken aback when they gave me balsamic vinegar with my fish though.

Nice pub.  Comfy couches, comfy atmosphere.

    No Riesling...3 stars

A cosy pub far enough from the station. They serve a good range of beers and ales and they'll show the sport during the Six Nations and other events.

The food is rather good in places, and you'll find dedicated restaurant tables towards the back that can be booked. We only ventured as far as burgers from their menu, which weren't bad at all, but some of the other plates coming from the kitchen looked very promising.

A more mature and relaxed client base in here, compared to Wahoo and the other wipe-dry club bar a few yards away.

This is a lovely, riverside pub which has the advantage of being great all year round. In the winter it's an excellent refuge from the cold with a wood burning fire and comfortably leather chairs. In the summer there's a very well kept courtyard to soak up the rays.

The biggest criticism is undoubtedly the price, but they always have good ale on tap and the food is very good.

Look, it's New York wankerism in Oxford.

Withering prices, open 'til 12, a wide selection of beer, and I somehow ended up there a lot, but I also found it uninspiring, a boring selection (including more flavourless lagers than you could shake a stick at) but they thought eversomuch of themselves.

    Just... pretty... meh.
